  10.       The next time that a rabid pro-abortionist begins shrieking in 
  11. your face about the right of a woman to kill the baby in her womb, re-
  12. read Romans 1:31.
  13.       In that chapter, Paul writing under the anointing of the Holy Spirit 
  14. listed terrible sins that can be used as a gauge of a society gone amuck. 
  15. In this heinous list of crimes we find the phrase "without natural 
  16. affection."
  17.       Now, return your attention to the howling pro-choicer who is so 
  18. livid that you, in the words of President Clinton's Surgeon General 
  19. Joycelyn Elders "have a love affair with the fetus." How can these 
  20. people be so callous to human life? What is going on?
  21.       Paul was prophetically telling of a time when many would harden 
  22. their hearts to the love and attachment all mothers have for their 
  23. young. The unborn were held in special regard in Paul's day. Under 
  24. the Law of Moses, Exodus 21:22-25 proclaims, "If men fight, and hurt 
  25. a woman with child, so that she gives birth prematurely, yet no lasting 
  26. harm follows, he shall be punished accordingly as the woman's 
  27. husband imposes on him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. 
  28. But if any lasting harm follows, then you shall give life for life, eye for 
  29. eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, 
  30. wound for wound, stripe for stripe."
  31.       David waxed poetic in Psalms 139:13-16 about his origins in his 
  32. mother's womb and God's care for him before he was born. "For You 
  33. have formed my inward parts; You have covered me in my mother's 
  34. womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; 
  35. marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My 
  36. frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and 
  37. skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth" 
  38.       In 1 Samuel 11 and 12, about the "unwanted" pregnancy of David 
  39. and Bathsheba. David, the king of Israel, coveted his neighbor's wife, 
  40. stole her from her husband and committed adultery with her. Then 
  41. David murdered her husband.. David's solution to his problem was 
  42. the same as many today: kill the innocent to protect the guilty!
  43.       According to a 1987 study in Editorial Research Reports, 81.3 
  44. percent of all abortions are performed on unmarried women. This 
  45. means that four out of five times the baby is murdered to hide the sin 
  46. of its parents! Proverbs 13:5 warns that the "way of the transgressor is 
  47. hard." But the easy way out is not to murder the evidence.
  48.       In our selfish times, such a solution is the one chosen by millions 
  49. of women. They and their sexual partners make a baby, but do not 
  50. feel an affectionate regard it. It is an inconvenience, so they kill it. 
  51. How can this be? The attachment of parents to children is one of the 
  52. strongest in nature. Seemingly nothing can overcome it -- except for 
  53. the most confirmed and established wickedness. 
  54.       In Psalms 111:37-38, we read that the ancient, heathen Canaanites 
  55. sacrificed their sons and their daughters to false gods and shed the 
  56. blood of innocents attempting to please demonic forces. In the last 
  57. days before the divided and corrupted kingdoms of Israel were 
  58. defeated by Babylon, the evil King Manasseh imitated the Canaanites' 
  59. pagan example of sacrificing children to Moloch, and set the example 
  60. by offering his own, according to 2 Chronicles 33:6. 
  61.       Among the ancient Persians it was a common custom to bury 
  62. children alive. In ancient Carthage, hundreds of children were 
  63. sacrificed each time before the nation went to war. In classical Greece, 
  64. infanticide was common, as it was among the Phoenicians, Nordics, 
  65. Chinese and Hindus. In those days, children with birth defects were 
  66. allowed to die.
  67.       But in our day, the defect is in the hearts of their self-centered 
  68. parents. Tragically, society has decided to proclaim the right to destroy 
  69. the inconvenient. And we find ourselves living in a day when, as Paul 
  70. predicted, many would indeed harden their hearts against that which 
  71. is right and, instead, suppress their God-given and, yes, natural 
  72. affection.
